CAMRYN GRAVES
Jazz Dance
Teaching Schedule
Camryn Graves was born in Orange County, California. She began dancing at the age of 3 and never stopped. Throughout her formative years, she trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary and musical theatre dance.
Her passion led her to NYC to study ballet for two summers at the Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet. She then moved across the country and received her BFA in Theatre Performance at Hofstra University with a minor in Musical Theatre. Throughout her time at Hofstra, Camryn choreographed a variety of shows including “American Idiot” and performed in roles such as Elle from “Legally Blonde”.
Since moving to NYC, Camryn has been performing with PMT dance company and acting in independent theatre projects. She is deeply passionate about teaching and strives to always bring joy, compassion and acceptance into the studio. Camryn is extremely grateful to be a part of the PMT family and continue growing as a dancer, teacher and artist.
Class Description
Basic Jazz: This class is for absolute beginners with no prior knowledge of technique and/or anyone looking to fine tune their existing technique. It will break down the fundamentals and basic techniques of Jazz dance, creating a strong foundation for the student. Students will also learn to apply dynamics, musicality and performance qualities to class choreography.
