Dasha is a NewStyle Hustle dancer with direct lineage to the style’s pioneer, Jeff Selby. She began with folk dance as a child, later expanding her foundation through hip-hop and breaking. Everything shifted when she discovered NewStyle Hustle—her first partner dance—where she began blending all her styles into one dynamic, ever-evolving expression. Dasha has trained under Jeff Selby, the originator of the form, and began shaping her voice in dance with her original dance partner, Kenji Tominaga. Today, she continues to train, battle, and refine her craft.

Class Description:

We’ll start with the history of the dance — its origins, cultural roots, and creator — before diving into the three fundamentals: connection, basic step and timing. While leaders focus on clear cues and timing, followers will start building various arm styling techniques as a part of their self-expression. No partner or experience needed!
