SHOSHANNA BABITT • HIP HOP CHOREO

Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, Shoshanna has been dancing since the ripe age of 2 and quickly found her niche in Hip Hop around the age of 9. She is technically trained in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Contemporary and has trained in many Street Styles under the OG's of New York City particularly in Hip Hop and House. She also found much of her early training during her time competing with various crews in Orlando such as Masters in Motion, Rukus Entertainment, The Squad and eXist. She moved to New York after graduating from the University of Central Florida with a Communications major and Dance Minor and worked with many dance teams, competition studios and college teams throughout her four years there. 

In her 13 years of teaching and choreographing, Shoshanna has worked with all ages and loves not only working with kids but sharing her love of dance with the community. She has worked with artists such as Sami Omari, Anthony Garguila, and Miss Shugacain. She was a part of the group Royal Thieves under Deshawn DePrince where they competed at World of Dance, as well as being an athlete with the company Urban Dance League under Amount Boyz, Antboogie. Since that time, she has been a member of our very own PMT dance company where she has performed at the halftime show for the NY Liberty, The Today Show, and our show ‘Dissonance’.

Class Description

Shoshanna's class will take you through a fused style of both hip hop foundation along with fluid movements. She starts out her class with a warm up consisting of grooves, isolations and stretching. Then she will help students apply those foundations in a choreographed piece where we will focus on musicality, performance and textures. In every class her goal is to not only have fun and create an environment full of high energy and good vibes, but to offer students a place to express themselves freely through movement and music.
